About Troop 580
Welcome to Troop 580
The Troop 580 Family has been in existance for over 50 years. We have several generations of scout families that have come through our Troop. When you join 580 you are joining a community of families and friends. We are sponsored by Long Elmenentary PTO and welcome all Boys in our area to join 580. We work hard to have fun, adventure, and learn life skills that will positively affect each member of the Troop. We feel that the Boy Scouts is one of the best ways to learn leadership, responsiblity, and discover adventures in the outdoors.
Motto: Adventure is our Game, Getting there is our Aim!!
Words to Live By: The older I get, I pay less attention to what a man says, but rather what his actions say about him.
Simple Truth: You can teach a person a skill, you can't teach them an attitude, that they must learn for themselves!
